Family Suite stays in Wayanad
Two-bedroom suites, interconnected rooms and large cottages for families of four to eight, in resorts with a pool and a restaurant on site.
Families need more than a big bed. We look for two bedrooms or connected rooms, food on site, a pool with a shallow end and short drives to the sights.
What to check before you book
Ask whether the pool has a shallow end, whether there is a lifeguard (most resorts have none), and whether rooms are on a level path for grandparents. Outside the towns few restaurants stay open late, so a resort kitchen that can make plain food for children at short notice is worth a lot. Check the extra mattress charge and what the resort counts as a child’s age.
Send us the number of adults, the children’s ages and your dates. We reply with family rooms free for those dates, with photos and the rate.
Good to know
- For families of six or more, a private villa often costs less per person than two rooms.
- Vythiri and Kalpetta are central, with Pookode Lake and Banasura Sagar Dam close by.
- Cots and high chairs are available at many resorts on request.
